This is my quest to build the best chop I can. I can't really weld or do any body work. I have mechanical ability and a drive to get off my ass and build something. Just thought it would be cool to show all my fuck ups.

It's been a very long time.  I had a kid.  Broke my hand.  Now I'm back.  Cleaned up my work area today.

It was covered with randomly placed items from my back deck revision.  Now that my cast is removed

and the little one is on a better schedule I can get back to work.

Battery Tray

I had time to mount the battery tray from Acme Choppers that my honey gave me.

I took it apart and found center of the mounting bracket.

I figured out how much of the mounting tab I needed to hack off and scribed a line.  I used my handy dandy digital caliper I just got from HF.

After figuring clearances of the surroundings I tacked it up.

Ready for finish welding.

Gangsta lean!

Acme Choppers

The wife got me a battery tray from Acme Choppers for my b-day a few months ago. High quality part right there.

The Next Spielberg......

Gas Tank Mounted Right

Using progressively larger bits and a little filing

I drilled two holes in the backbone to fit my mounting bung

Then made sure everything was right

Then Tacked both mounts in place

Easy Peasy

New Mounts

I bought these from Lowbrowcustoms.com
Drilled them out and a little hand filing to accommodate some rubber grommets.
Making sure everything is leveled and straight.
 Tacked the mounts in place.
